Fearless Undocumented Alliance host their annual Coming out of the Shadows rally for undocumented students to come out as undocumented, unafraid and unapologetic. The rally was also a time for allies to stand in solidarity with undocumented community and demand the university to support legislation that supports all students. Speakers included undocumented student & allies, Alderman Carlos Rosa and Tanya Cabrera speaking on the ACCESS Bill. The rally focused on the ACCESS Bill, a bill that would allow undocumented students to obtain financial aid from public universities in the state of Illionis. As an exec member for FUA and an ally in the undocumented community, I was able to capture the event and the students involved.
